Black Rock

The Black Rock is located in Rila, near Borovets, and is a high cliff rising more than 100 meters above the valley of the river Golyama Slivnitsa, a tributary of the Maritsa River. Its name comes from the fact that it is blackened by weathering. In clear weather, it overlooks the neighboring Rila foothills and the Maritsa Valley.

The route to visit it starts from the center of Borovets. It takes just over an hour of quiet walking and the terrain is mostly flat.
